HOTELS
We tried to list as Hotel only those accommodations that really offer amenities that you would expect from a Hotel to have; and preferably only those that have the denomination "hotel" granted by the National Tourism Organization of Greece.
They may belong to small, pension style operations or to bigger holidays resorts.
Hotels serve breakfast and have a reception area open 24 hours.
Hotels may offer suites but do not offer self catering accommodation.

HOUSES & VILLAS
For the autonomous traveler, fully equipped houses are available to rent for short or longer periods.
HOUSES are autonomous constructions with kitchen and separate bedroom(s).
VILLAS are those houses that are larger and more luxurious.
CAMPINGS & YOUTH HOSTELS
For the young travelers and all those who wish to keep a low budget, shared accommodation is provided by youth hostels.

ROOMS & APARTMENTS
Rooms and Apartments some times do not differ a lot from hotels. They do have fewer regulations, mainly they do not have obligation to serve breakfast and to maintain a reception hall open 24 hours.
They may belong to small, pension style operations or to bigger holidays resorts.
Some rooms offer self catering facilities and are then commonly called studios. Apartments are self catering accommodations consisting in more than one room.
